Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see, this our site of Halloween!
It’s absolutely no secret that Escape Authority’s Core Team has a passion for Halloween – in fact it was looking for new and unique Haunted Attractions to visit on a trip to Los Angeles in 2014 that spawned our equally passionate love of Escape Rooms.
It’s also no secret that as a genre, Escape Rooms and Haunted Attractions do tend to go hand-in-hand. There are so many parallels between the two industries, and as time goes by, they become more and more of one industry joined together. Many seasonal Haunts are evolving to offer Escape Rooms on site for the rest of the year to become a full time business. Many Escape Rooms are evolving to offer the level of scenic detail and storytelling found in Haunted Attractions.
And there’s a third component that even further connects them all – Immersive Theater. Highly story driven, highly interactive, highly personalized theatrical experiences where you the audience member become a key role in the show, and your actions impact the story as it unfolds around you. I think it’s clear to see how Immersive Theater bridges the gap between Haunted Attractions and Escape Rooms, creating – when done well – the mecca of all attraction genres.
Tender lumplings everywhere, Life’s no fun without a good scare!
To celebrate the spirit of the season of Tricks and Treats, our favorite time of the year, today we announce Escape Authority’s first annual full site Halloween Event! Along with our special new spooky theme comes an equally special update schedule, and brand new styles of content in the crystal ball of our future.
First, gone is our traditional Monday / Wednesday / Friday update schedule. Beginning Monday, we will feature new content every other day through Halloween.
Appropriately, each new Review will spotlight a spooky / horror themed game.
And the part I’m most excited to announce – something we’ve planned from the launch of Escape Authority, but have kept quiet; beginning next week, we will offer a NEW TYPE OF REVIEW to compliment the existing (and continuing) coverage of Escape Rooms you’ve come to love. Each week, we will feature Escape Room Reviews IN ADDITION TO our brand new Haunted Attraction Reviews! Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights on both coasts, Knott’s Scary Farm, Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream, just to name a few, join a full slate of already scheduled Haunted Attraction Reviews you can expect to see in your nightmares very soon.
But that’s not all. We’re adding a THIRD NEW TYPE OF REVIEW to our slate – one that will be more rare, but definitely something special to look forward to. Beginning this October, Escape Authority is proud to feature Immersive Theater Reviews, and naturally the only place to start is with our solid favorite, Delusion: His Crimson Queen.
And because it can’t just be all Treats – don’t be surprised if a few Tricks spring up from time to time in the form of unannounced bonus updates to fit everything in before Halloween.
THIS IS HALLOWEEN! THIS IS HALLOWEEN!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
